What is Nanopore Diagnostics?
Nanopore Diagnostics is a bio-tech company developing a rapid test capable of diagnosing a bacterial infection in under 30 minutes. Current technologies require days to achieve similar results. Nanopore Diagnostics's test will enable a physician, during an initial examination, to determine if an antibiotic is necessary, and if so what antibiotic would be ideal.
Tom Cohen is the Chief Executive Officer of Nanopore Diagnostics, a 2014 Arch Grants recipient.
Tom earned his degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology from Vanderbilt University in 2005, and holds a PhD in Biomedical Sciences from the University of California at San Diego. Tom currently also serves as the Co-Founder, Board Member, and formerly Business Director at The BALSA Foundation.
Christoph Bausch is Co-Founder of Nanopore Diagnostics, a 2014 Arch Grants recipient.
Christoph earned his degree in Biology from University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1993, and holds an MBA from Saint Louis University and a PhD in Microbiology from Ohio State University. Christoph currently also serves as the Director of Business Development at POET and brings experience working with the Keion Group, LLC to his position at Nanopore Diagnostics.
