Arch Grants staff and volunteer leadership are believers and builders themselves and are relentless in their efforts to champion bold entrepreneurs and build a robust future for the St. Louis region, and for the world.
As Executive Director, Gabe leads Arch Grants’ team to maximize economic impact in St. Louis by supporting the hundreds of Founders attracted and retained to the region since 2012. Previously serving as Director of Development and Strategy, he helped drive organizational growth through fundraising and strategic partnerships. Gabe earned his B.S in Economics and M.A. in Nonprofit Management at Washington University in St. Louis. Prior to joining Arch Grants in 2016, Gabe served in key leadership roles at the Saint Louis Club in Clayton and managed talent development and DEI initiatives at the Regional Business Council.

Director of Entrepreneur Recruitment
As Director of Entrepreneur Recruitment, Jess leads all aspects of entrepreneur recruitment for the organization, including strategy, planning, and execution of Arch Grants’ Startup Competition. Jess received her Master’s in Public Relations from Webster University and graduated magna cum laude with honors with a double undergraduate degree from St. Louis University in Sociology and International Studies. Prior to joining Arch Grants, Jess spent nearly 10 years at the World Affairs Council and managed events, conferences, marketing, and educational programs at Lenders One for over five years.

Associate Director of Grants & Partnerships
As the Associate Director of Grants & Partnerships, Alex primarily focuses on supporting donor stewardship and cultivation through the management of donor records and acknowledgment. Prior to joining Arch Grants, Alex was the Director of Development at Habitat for Humanity of Berkeley County in South Carolina. Alex is originally from the Carolinas where she graduated with a B.S. in psychology from the College of Charleston in 2012. She relocated to the St. Louis region in January 2020.

Entrepreneur Recruitment Associate
As the Entrepreneur Recruitment Associate, Rebecca supports the annual execution of the Startup Competition including national and international founder outreach, data analysis, and the evaluation and due diligence processes. Prior to joining Arch Grants, Rebecca worked in Customer Success and Operations roles within B2B SaaS companies and completed her B.S. in Business at Indiana University – Bloomington’s Kelley School of Business with a Double Major in Marketing and International Business, and a Minor in Portuguese in 2017. Rebecca is invigorated by the privilege of being able to advocate for underrepresented founders and has adored exploring the arts community of St. Louis since relocating from Indiana in October 2020.

Director of Programs
As Director of Programs, Matt leads Founder engagement and support for Arch Grants portfolio companies. Over the course of his career, Matt has held a wide variety of roles in the St. Louis startup ecosystem, spanning the economic development, nonprofit and venture capital sectors. Throughout these experiences, they’ve shared a common goal – helping to expand capacity and connectivity within the region’s emerging tech community. Matt is an alumnus of two well-respected civic leadership programs: the Coro Fellows Program in Public Affairs and the AmeriCorps VISTA program. A St. Louis transplant, Matt hails from Iowa City, Iowa, and holds degrees in Electrical Engineering and Entrepreneurship from The University of Iowa.

Entrepreneur Support Associate
As an Entrepreneur Support Associate, Sara engages with the Founder community to identify and connect them with opportunities to grow their businesses. Sara is a 2020 Venture for America fellow. Prior to joining Arch Grants, Sara worked in marketing and communications at RiverVest Venture Partners and completed her undergraduate degree at Washington University in 2020. Originally from Cleveland, she has been living in St. Louis since 2016.

Entrepreneur Support Manager
As Entrepreneur Support Manager, Sara works closely with Arch Grants Founders, building relationships with cohort members to help connect them with local, regional, and national resources. Sara completed undergraduate studies in Journalism at Lincoln University – Missouri and a Master of Arts degree in Public Relations at Webster University. Prior to joining Arch Grants, Sara worked at Forward Through Ferguson as a Senior Operations & Communications Catalyst and serviced her clients as a Communications Consultant and Event Planner at her small firm Descriptive J LLC.
