Co-Founder & COO
Annie grew up in St. Louis and attended Prescott College, a liberal arts college in the mountains of Arizona. She went to study food and social justice, and found agroecology. She came home in 2013 to launch her urban farm, and after Missouri legalized medical cannabis, co-founded Monarch Waste Co. in 2021. At Monarch she runs systems, finances, and expansion. She no longer farms, but the goal is the same: a business that’s good for its clients, its neighbors, and the ground it works on.

Zach McCullough
Co-Founder & CEO
Zach grew up in Austin, Texas and attended Prescott College, where he studied adventure education. When Missouri legalized medical cannabis, he saw that the new industry had no one to handle its waste, and in 2021 started Monarch Waste Co. to do it. He designed the operation from scratch, from the first truck to the routes that now cover the state. He leads crews the way he once led trips: plan the route, watch the weather, bring everyone home.
