What is Graematter?
Graematter supplies the healthcare regulatory industry with a powerful tool: the SOFIE Regulatory Intelligence System which, for the first time, consolidates the data and information located in over a hundred regulatory data sources into a single, searchable database.
Melissa Walker is the Founder, President, and CTO of Graematter, a 2012 Arch Grants recipient.
Melissa earned her BSMS degree in Biology, Animal Science, and Zoology from East Texas State University in 1979. Melissa is a regulatory professional with over 27 years of experience in the medical products industry. She has served as the industry representative for the FDA Medical Device Dispute Advisory Panel and is an Adjunct Professor at Washington University in St. Louis. Melissa also currently serves as the Senior Vice President for Regulatory Affairs at Topera.
Merle Symes is the CEO of Graematter, a 2012 Arch Grants recipient.
Merle earned his degree in Chemical Engineering from South Dakota School of Mines and Technology in 1973, and holds an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Merle brings experience working with The Provenance Group, and as the Managing Director of The Walden Group. He also currently serves on the Board of Shalom House for Homeless Women.
