What is MeterGenius?
MeterGenius is an online tool to help consumers take control of their electricity bills. MeterGenius’ TECHNOLOGY predicts the user’s electricity use, and tells consumers how to make easy fixes and energy upgrades to encourage greater efficiency. Users can compare their energy usage to their neighbors, and earn points and rewards by being more efficient!
Ty Benefiel is the Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of MeterGenius, a 2014 Arch Grants recipient.
Ty earned his degree in Economics from Wabash College in 2008, and holds an MBA, with a focus on Entrepreneurship and Environmental Sustainability from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Ty has a background in entrepreneurship and marketing analytics and brings his experience working with Angie's List as a fellow with the Governor Bob Orr Indiana Entrepreneurial Fellowship to his position at MeterGenius.
Yan Man is the Co-Founder and VP of Product of MeterGenius, a 2014 Arch Grants recipient.
Yan earned his degree in Engineering Science from University of Oxford in 2012, and holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Northwestern University. Before joining MeterGenius, Yan worked as a Research Assistant and Research Fellow at Caltech.
